AN UNFORGETTABLE AWARDS NIGHT AT THE ROUNDHOUSE

As a trusted production partner at the Roundhouse, we delivered the Accounting Excellence Awards for the third time, transforming this iconic venue into a polished awards dinner and party for 670 guests. The client needed a creative technical partner to support an event that flowed from red carpet to drinks reception, dinner, awards and dancefloor.

THE CHALLENGE

The Accounting Excellence Awards is a big night in the industry calendar, and the venue and client wanted it to feel like a unique and brilliant event from start to finish. Our scenic and technical brief covered the whole evening: a red carpet arrival, a balcony drinks reception, a dramatic reveal of the dinner space, a full awards ceremony, and a dancefloor with a live band and DJ.

The Roundhouse is a stunning but beautifully complicated space. Its circular shape and historic fabric meant every build had to be carefully planned, and it needed a production partner who understood the venue and could deliver on the night.

WHAT WE DELIVERED

We designed the night around the venue and the brief, both of which made every moment feel special for the guests.

Arrival

Guests were greeted by a red carpet entrance and a branded step and repeat wall, with the Accounting Excellence logo projected onto the venue walls to set the tone from the first step inside.

Drinks Reception

Soft up lighting created a warm atmosphere for drinks on the balcony, building anticipation for the big reveal of the dinner space.

The Reveal

Our workshop built a striking stage set, with a flown circular centrepiece in deep blue and an awards sign in a brushed metal finish, sitting above a blue leatherette plinth. Branded lecterns and a matching DJ booth completed the look, so every element felt part of the same story.

Moving lights, vintage-style lamps and a mirror ball flown at the heart of the room gave the space a sense of occasion for the awards, then shifted the mood for the party that followed.

Awards Coverage

Two large screens and relay screens around the room meant every guest could follow the awards from their table, supported by camera coverage and autocue for presenters.

THE RESULT

The night ran without a technical hitch from the red carpet through to the final song. Relay screens around the room meant every table could follow the awards, camera coverage and autocue kept presenters on cue, and the flown centrepiece and lighting rig carried the room from ceremony to dancefloor without a visible changeover. Guests enjoyed a stylish, memorable evening, and the winners had their moment on a stage worthy of the occasion.
